Patriotismo é o amor(genuíno) pela Pátria.

Nacionalismo é o amor(genuíno) pela Nação.

Nacionalismo é também a consciência de que a sua Pátria, é também uma Nação.

Nem todas as Pátrias são Nações(Muita atenção a isto!).

Nacionalismo(genuíno, e não kosher...) é portanto um sentimento mais maduro do que o mero patriotismo, já que o primeiro tem a consciência de que Portugal é uma Nação.

Nacionalismo é portanto um estado mais elevado de amor e de compromisso, que por isso mesmo quando é genuíno, só se pode traduzir através de fanatismo e radicalismo.

Por baixo duma covardia pseudo-disfarçada, ergue-se um pseudo-equívoco de que é possível haver um meio-termo entre patriotismo e traição à Pátria. Ora como é óbvio, não há qualquer meio-termo possível; ou se está de um lado ou se está do outro.
