The Pale Riders - Men Among the Ruins (Baise Ma Hache/Paul Waggener)

We stand among the ruins,
To a banner forever bound
We fight on the same front line
Yes, we lead the same revolt
Though a thousand miles apart
we’re not different, we’re still one
Bearer of this flame that never dies

Together here we stand
At the smouldering age of time
We raise a fire called hope
Amid the blackness of despair
Heavy lies the weight
Of this burden on our backs
But who will carry the load
If we lay down and die ?

Our honor defined by truth
Unswayed by beautiful lies
Never faltering hearts,
our brotherhood remains
As wolves we will wander
The shattered cities of man !

To surrender is a curse
A doom on our brothers heads
A scorn too awful to bear
We carry on till the end
We wash and mourn our dead
And press on with tears in eyes
A fury in our blood, and a dagger in our hands

Our honor’s defined by truth
Unswayed by beautiful lies
Never faltering hearts
our brotherhood remains
As wolves we will wander
The shattered cities of man !

Heavy lies the weight
Of this burden on our backs
But who will carry the load
Yes, if we lay down and die ?
