"Muslim migrants who burned down refugee camp shouted “DAMN GERMANS” as camp burned ”we will set fire to you, kill you all…and burn down the hall.”

These Muslims had also threatened to kill workers at the refugee center.

The shock claim was made by a staff member of DRK, (the German Red Cross) during an hour of testimony at Dusseldorf’s regional court on February 3.

He described how the refugees found it “funny” when the hall court fire on June 7 2016.

And the blaze took hold after the asylum seekers had made multiple death threats towards DRK staff in the run up to the blaze.

Staff endured taunts of: “Damn Germans, a***holes!”, “we will turn the hall into ruins”, or ”we will set fire to you, kill you all…and burn down the hall.”

According to the witness, an employee of DRK, staff had been handing out food on the day of the fire.

He saw the two suspects – Adel Z. and Mohamad B. – in a celebratory mood following the fire in the Dusseldorf exhibition hall

Several other residents, who were standing around with packed suitcases, also “thought it was funny and great.” One had even filmed the blaze with his smartphone.When the judge asked whether he thought the inhabitants knew about the fire ahead of time, the 57-year-old said, “of course.”Adel Z., a 27-year-old Algerian Muslim, is accused of setting the hall on fire because he was outraged that food and drinks were given to non-fasting roommates during Ramadan.
The other suspect, Mohamad B, a 27-year-old Moroccan, is accused of persuading Adel Z. to set the fire because he too was dissatisfied with the accommodation in the exhibition hall.The court heard that on the day of the fire, Adel Z. and Mohamed B. were seen arguing.
